Job SummaryWe're seeking a seasoned Sr. Instructional Designer to join our Instructional Design Team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for designing and developing high-quality, engaging learning experiences that cater to the needs of our customers, partners, and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and produce end-to-end, high-quality e-learning and live training curriculum that meets the needs of our diverse audience.
- Design and develop principles and standards for establishing repeatable, quality learning solutions that align with our company's goals.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to gather course requirements, develop course content, and solicit feedback to ensure the highest quality learning experiences.
- Develop innovative learning solutions that cater to different learning styles and preferences.
- Produce high-quality course materials using editing and multimedia development tools.
- Implement quality assurance for all learning development and assets to ensure they meet our high standards.
- Analyze customer feedback and satisfaction metrics to refine learning materials and improve the overall learning experience.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in e-learning, blended learning, and Web-based courseware development in the information technology industry.
- 3+ years of experience in advanced knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning theory.
- Advanced knowledge of instructional design, curriculum development, and adult learning theory.
- Knowledge of IT concepts, components, and technologies related to client-server cloud-native and distributed application architectures, web and mobile applications, and the software application delivery chain.
- Ability to gather and assimilate technical information and translate it into learning for all user levels and types with well-defined learning objectives.
- Experience with e-learning, graphics, and audio development tools, such as Camtasia Studio, SnagIt, Adobe Illustrator, WavePad, Articulate Rise.
- Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to develop training materials.
- Experience working with cloud-based Learning Management Systems (LMS) and video content delivery systems such as Screencast.
- Experience with asset management, version control, and ticketing in a work management system, such as Jira.
- Experience with piloting and testing ILT and self-paced courseware.
- Strong project management skills needing minimal supervision.
- Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve on your own yet knowing when to ask for assistance.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and shift focus to different projects on an as needed basis.
- Bachelor's degree in technology, education, or related field preferred.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer service orientation.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including an annual salary of $82,000 - $100,000, plus Health, Dental, Life, STD, LTD, 401k, PTO. Total compensation may vary depending on candidate experience, education, and location.
