Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Accountant-Fixed Assets to join our team at Recruiting Resources, Inc. in Winston-Salem, NC. This individual will be responsible for managing the plant fixed asset accounting and other general accounting, reporting, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Fixed Asset subsidiary ledger and account reconciliation.
  • Adhere to corporate policy for capitalizing equipment purchases and other construction in progress activities.
  • Prepare monthly fixed asset roll forward reconciliation.
  • Complete government required reporting as necessary.
  • Participate in Budget, forecast, and monthly reporting activities.
  • Assist in process and system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Interact with other departments, such as Corporate Accounting, IT, Purchasing, and Quality.
  • Prepare special reports and assist in special projects as assigned by Management.
  • Demonstrate initiative in all aspects of Plant Accounting.
  • Ability to work with tight deadlines and meet department goals.
  • Communicate effectively and clearly in verbal and written form.
  • Other account reconciliations as assigned.
  • Perform quarterly SOX and operational compliance testing and remediation as necessary.
  • Any other projects or tasks as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Proficient with PC skills including Windows, Excel (advanced)/Word, Oracle.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common financial reports and legal documents.
  • Ability to organize workload and multitask to meet deadlines.
  • Carry out responsibilities with general supervision.
  • Ability to interact effectively at all levels with sensitivity to cultural diversity.
  • Ability to adapt as the external environment and organization evolves.
  • Strong team player and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial data.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years accounting experience.
  • 3+ years prior fixed asset accounting experience.

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance or related field is required.
  • MBA Degree or CPA preferred.
