As a Barista, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, preparing and serving high-quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and serve a variety of specialty coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages to our members and guests.
- Provide exceptional customer service, responding promptly to member and guest needs, and soliciting feedback to improve service.
- Maintain a clean and organized coffee area, restocking equipment and supplies as needed.
- Develop a thorough working knowledge of our coffee and tea menus, and be able to articulate to guests in an engaged and thoughtful manner.
- Work effectively with our servers to ensure timely delivery of drinks and communicate with management when running low on inventory.
- Impeccable customer service by responding promptly to member/guest needs, soliciting feedback to improve service, and responding to all member requests.
- Competency in conversing with Gallery Bar members, Guests, and potential Members regarding NeueHouse and our various programs and amenities.
- Set up / breakdown of the coffee station on a daily level.
- Ability to lift/move up to 10lbs, frequently lift/move up to 25lbs, and occasionally lift/move up to 50lbs.
- Able to work nights and weekends, which will be required with this role.
- Committed to incredible teamwork and balance team and individual responsibilities.
- 2 + years acting as a Barista or similar role in luxury hospitality, food + beverage environments.
- Consistently provide thoughtful and personal service with the goal to develop a rapport with Members and Guests.
- Ensure the coffee area is set and ready for service and always kept tidy manner as it is guest facing.
- Maintain cleanliness and always restock equipment as needed.
- Maintain thorough working knowledge of coffee and tea menus and be able to articulate to guests in an engaged and thoughtful manner.
- Proficient use of POS for ordering and billing purposes.
- Cash handling and communication skills with management executed with the utmost professionalism.
- Execution of the order of service in a timely and accurate manner with the goal of creating memorable service.
- Thorough working knowledge of all beverages: coffee/tea/non-alcoholic/wines/beers/spirits.
- Communicating with servers on orders to ensure delivery of drinks in a timely manner and alerting Management when running low on a particular item.
- Impeccable customer service by responding promptly to member/guest needs, soliciting feedback to improve service, and responding to all member requests (not just F&B related)
