About the Role

Momentum, a leading nonprofit provider of direct support for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities in Southern California, is seeking a highly skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to join our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Behavioral Data Systems: Ensure the implementation of behavioral data systems to collect quantifiable behavioral data at regular intervals, facilitating the evaluation of behavior plans and achievement of individual goals and objectives.
  • Staff Training and Consultation: Teach management staff, Behavior Attendants, and Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) on the proper implementation of reinforcement, proactive, and preventive behavior programs and plans, data collection systems, and monitoring and reporting systems.
  • Program Oversight and Meetings: Conduct regular meetings with management staff, Behavior Attendants, and DSPs to ensure ongoing individual program oversight and provide routine training and consultation.
  • Documentation and Billing: Complete all necessary documentation in a timely and satisfactory manner, ensuring proper billing entry in billing systems, as required.
  • Billable Caseload and Hours: Maintain a billable caseload and document billable hours, as required.
  • Written Reports: Develop written reports documenting behavioral recommendations for parents, caregivers, regional centers, and agency personnel in a timely and accurate manner, as requested.
  • Supervision and Training: Meet requirements to provide supervision to behavior analyst interns, Registered Behavior Therapist (RBT), and Behavior Attendants, and provide clinical supervision of Behavior Attendants.
  • Crisis Situations: Maintain availability to respond to the needs of the persons supported, providing consultation and on-site assistance to behavior crisis situations.
  • Training and Certification: Maintain any required training, including crisis management procedures in behavior plans, as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's degree in Human Services or related major, required.
  • Certifications: BCBA and licensed, if required by the state; maintain all required certifications as outlined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board for BCBAs, required.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Strong knowledge and deep understanding of the science of behavior analysis and behavior analytic therapies; experience delivering these services.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent writing and communication skills, highly organized with the ability to multitask, ability to work in a professional manner with other departments within the facility and with community representatives.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to run, push, pull, bend, squat, kneel, and lift up to fifty (50) pounds.
  • Valid Driver's License: Valid and current proof of legal right to drive, required.
