Our facility is poised to support a significant workforce dedicated to the assembly of components for cutting-edge military aircraft. We are actively seeking Experienced Structural and Systems Installation Technicians/Assemblers to enhance our production capabilities. These roles involve the assembly of aircraft structures, installation of systems, mentoring new team members, and engaging in our advanced manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Follow established procedures to ensure 100% quality in system installations and mechanical assembly of aircraft structures.
  • Adhere to quality standards and work instructions, implementing them in a collaborative team environment.
  • Promote continuous improvement initiatives focusing on safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team morale.
  • Perform general mechanical assembly and system installations as needed to assist colleagues.
  • Conduct functional testing of assemblies and systems.
  • Handle high-quality surface finishes, including touch-up painting.
  • Sign off on completed work in accordance with specifications.
  • Assist in training and knowledge transfer to new employees.

The compensation range is a general guideline. When making an offer, Saab considers various factors, including the role's responsibilities, location, market conditions, and the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant mechanical experience in aeronautics manufacturing, showcasing expertise in aircraft structure assembly.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A technical degree or certification in aviation assembly, mechanics, or maintenance is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Experience in maintaining high-quality standards in compliance with ISO/AS9100.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications in both written and digital formats.
  • Skilled in selecting appropriate working methods and tools to achieve quality and efficiency.
  • Capable of adhering to standardized procedures for consistent results in a highly advanced environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Physical capability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks such as bending, climbing, and lifting.
  • Ability to lift up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally.
  • Willingness to work extended hours when necessary.
