Senior Linux Systems Engineer for HPC Cluster Management

Aspen Systems Inc. is a leading provider of high-performance computing solutions. We are seeking an experienced Senior Linux Systems Engineer for HPC Cluster Management to join our team in Denver, Colorado.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Linux system administration, with experience in managing HPC clusters, AI/ML/GPU computing, and parallel file storage systems. They will also be responsible for providing technical support using industry-standard methodologies, working with HPC software stacks, including Linux operating systems, MPIs, schedulers, and low-latency interconnects such as InfiniBand.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and maintain HPC clusters, ensuring high-performance and reliability
  2. Provide technical support to clients using industry-standard methodologies
  3. Work with HPC software stacks, including Linux operating systems, MPIs, schedulers, and low-latency interconnects
  4. Collaborate with the team to design and implement high-performance computing solutions

Requirements

  1. 8+ years of experience in Linux system administration in a production/enterprise environment
  2. BS/Master's degree in Engineering/Science/Communication/Information Technology
  3. Excellent troubleshooting, listening, and problem-solving skills
  4. Ability to install, configure, and cable network hardware
  5. Strong knowledge of Ubuntu, Alma, Rocky, RedHat, SuSE Enterprise Linux, Windows, *BSD
  6. Experience with standard services (DNS, DHCP, TFTP, PXE, etc.)
