Position Summary
The Facilities Maintenance and Security Specialist is responsible for ensuring the operational integrity of the property through a combination of maintenance and security duties. This role requires a proactive approach to facility upkeep and a commitment to safety and security protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance tasks, including mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and pool maintenance.
- Maintain effective communication with supervisors and team members regarding ongoing projects and maintenance issues.
- Manage and complete assigned work orders efficiently.
- Stay updated on emergency procedures, security concerns, and the location of emergency equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively with team members and independently within the first 60 days.
- Begin pursuing relevant certifications, such as Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and OSHA, within the first 90 days.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of a Security Officer as required.
Essential Requirements:
- Detail-oriented problem solver with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in maintenance, janitorial, or construction fields.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Valid driver's license is required.
- Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
- Fluency in Spanish is preferred.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Candidates must be able to stand or walk for up to 8 hours, and perform tasks such as sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling. The role requires the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
