Responsibilities of Onsite IT Engineers

  • Manage support tickets and resolve client issues within agreed timelines.
  • Collaborate with clients, Service Delivery Managers, and Team Leads to ensure high-quality service.
  • Engage in various infrastructure and client projects to enhance the user experience.
  • Create and document tickets with detailed notes, ensuring accurate time tracking.
  • Update technical documentation regularly.
  • Handle email tickets when not on calls or as requested.
  • Escalate complex issues to the Technical Team Lead with comprehensive notes on attempted solutions.
  • Mentor and assist team members as the Subject Matter Expert for specific clients.
  • Identify potential Major Incidents and notify the Team Lead/Service Delivery Manager immediately.
  • Develop alternative solutions when standard procedures do not resolve issues.
  • Provide training to users on supported software and hardware.
  • Assist clients with the implementation of business software and related services.
  • Manage vendor relationships for client support ticket resolutions.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on all cases.
  • Provide regular updates to clients.
  • Support the Professional Services Team and vCIO in testing new configurations.

Required Technical Skills



Advanced knowledge of Network Infrastructure and Cyber Security is essential.Experience with Cisco Meraki or Fortinet is preferred.

Ability to independently troubleshoot problems.Observe daily operations to understand overall IT Infrastructure and industry standards.Assist clients with software installations and related services.Train users on supported software and hardware.Collaborate with vendor support to resolve technical issues.Communicate technical concepts in simple terms.
Intermediate to advanced experience in supporting/troubleshooting:
Workstation hardwareWindows/Mac OSMobile devicesMFADesk phones and headsetsPrinters/ScannersSharePoint/OneDrive/365Active DirectoryDNSDHCPNTFS/File permissionsFirewall/Networking/VPN
Understanding of support tools and techniques used in client services.Typing skills for accurate service ticket documentation.Technical writing and documentation skills.
Education and Experience Requirements

High School Diploma or GED is required.
Certifications:
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Cisco, Microsoft Certifications, or equivalent certifications are preferred.



A minimum of 4-6 years in a relevant advanced role is required.


Prior experience in an MSP environment is essential.Experience in Healthcare IT is preferred.Familiarity with ConnectWise is a plus.Experience supporting medical clients, along with understanding EMR and HIPAA regulations, is preferred.
