Quality Control Inspector

Oceaneering Technologies is a leading provider of engineered services and products to the offshore energy industry. We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Inspector to join our team.
Job Summary:The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for performing inspections and tests to ensure that materials, products, and assemblies meet the required specifications and standards. This includes reading drawings, comprehending specifications and tolerances, and using measurement and test equipment to determine if products meet all stated requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections on materials, products, and assemblies.
- Read drawings, comprehend specifications and tolerances, and use measurement and test equipment to determine if products meet all stated requirements.
- Validate the quality of machined and fabricated parts and assemblies in terms of dimensional accuracy and visual verification according to acceptance criteria.
- Apply a range of inspection techniques and interpret standards autonomously.
- Ensure in-date calibrated measuring equipment is used for performing inspections.
- Fill out nonconforming material reports and other required records of inspection and tests.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 5 years' experience and/or training in inspection, measurement, and test equipment, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection with programming experience.
- General mechanical inspection with calipers, micrometers, etc.
- Geometric tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5.
- MS Office (Word, Excel, Email) skills.
- Blueprint reading skills.
- Experience working directly with fabrication and machinists' craftspeople.
- Knowledge of basic technical mathematics, inspection, measuring, and test equipment, materials and processes, inspection technology, and basic statistics.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements.
- Ability to obtain a government security clearance.
- Working knowledge of PCDMIS software and programming.
- Working knowledge of Inspection Arms (Romer or similar).
- Working knowledge of Laser Tracker Systems (Leica or similar).
