Job Summary

The Quality Control Inspector will be responsible for ensuring the quality of materials, products, and assemblies by performing dimensional checks and visual verifications. This role requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as the ability to work with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform 1st piece, in-process, and final inspections on materials, products, and assemblies
  • Read and comprehend specifications, tolerances, and drawings
  • Use measurement and test equipment to determine product quality
  • Document non-conformance reports and material
  • Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and production personnel as needed
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years' experience and/or training in inspection and testing
  • Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection with programming experience
  • General mechanical inspection with calipers, micrometers, etc.
  • Geometric tolerancing in accordance with ASME Y14.5
  • MS Office (Word, Excel, Email) skills
  • Blueprint reading skills
  • Experience working directly with fabrication and machinists' craftspeople
  • Knowledge of basic technical mathematics, inspection, measuring, and test equipment, materials and processes, inspection technology, and basic statistics
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements
  • Ability to obtain a government security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of PCDMIS software and programming
  • Working knowledge of Inspection Arms (Romer or similar)
  • Working knowledge of Laser Tracker Systems (Leica or similar)
