Logistics Manager

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Logistics Manager to oversee the daily operations of our logistics department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the movement, storage, and distribution of materials and products within our supply chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement logistics strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations to ensure timely delivery of goods and materials.
  • Manage and optimize inventory control procedures to minimize costs and maximize inventory accuracy.
  • Negotiate and liaise with suppliers, manufacturers, retailers, and consumers to ensure efficient logistics operations.
  • Analyze data to assess performance and implement improvements in logistics processes.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train logistics team members to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing transportation and logistics activities.
  • Monitor and manage logistics KPIs to track performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on logistics performance and initiatives.
  • Develop pricing and manage budgets associated with the buying and selling of products and services.
  • Create and nurture relationships with 3PL's, customers, and suppliers.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience as a Logistics Manager or in a similar role within the logistics industry.
  • Strong knowledge of logistics software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong leadership abilities with a proven track record of managing and developing a team.
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification in Logistics or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in renewable energy, oil and gas, or similar industry.
