Position Overview

We are excited to announce an opening for a Senior Analyst, Sales Finance. This role will support the NA Sales Controlling Manager, FP&A, and Commercial and Marketing leaders. Responsibilities include conducting sales and financial analysis, preparing management reports, performing detailed customer analysis, product quotations, leading the 5-year planning process, and managing sales budget reporting and consolidation, along with monthly forecasting and analysis.

The role encompasses customer quotations (cost modeling, pricing reviews, and contract term evaluations), product sales reporting (actuals versus estimates), and the development and reporting of annual and quarterly forecasts. Analysis and reporting will ensure management has timely and accurate insights into customer/product distribution and support activities on a per-product basis. The expectation is to utilize and enhance current system capabilities while continuously identifying opportunities for process improvement.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and oversee the annual transfer price review and adjustments for components/raw materials and finished goods, collaborating with customer service to implement changes effectively.
  • Lead monthly reporting and variance analysis by customer, product, and market, maintaining a consistent internal reporting structure.
  • Provide management with clear insights into sales risks and opportunities to enhance budget performance.
  • Develop and report on volume and mix analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecasts.
  • Analyze and document variances between Budget, Forecast, and Actuals to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Complete monthly operational reporting according to the internal calendar.
  • Lead and consolidate the sales components of the 5-year plan, annual budgeting, and forecasting processes.
  • Ensure that plans, budgets, and forecasts encompass all sales drivers, outlining risks and opportunities.
  • Support and participate in reviews of actuals, forecasts, and budget meetings with NA Beauty Leadership.
  • Forecast the impact of mix and volume changes by compiling and reviewing product sales forecasts from Sales and Regional Demand Planning teams.
  • Assist the sales controlling manager in streamlining processes between the 5-year plan, budget, forecast, and actuals.
  • Conduct weekly reviews of sales and orders against forecasts.
  • Develop and distribute monthly KPIs to drive performance towards budget and forecast accuracy.
  • Analyze sales and cost data to identify pricing adjustment opportunities, assisting in the formulation of pricing strategies with sales and marketing leaders.
  • Drive decisions and advocate for necessary organizational changes based on financial analysis and understanding of product distribution.
  • Conduct pricing analysis for new products, collaborating closely with marketing teams and product managers to develop pricing recommendations.
  • Utilize reports from core IT systems to provide timely and actionable analytical information, supporting ongoing enhancements of reporting capabilities.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting; CPA preferred.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of finance experience with a demonstrated breadth of experience across finance sub-functions, including operational analysis/cost accounting, financial planning and analysis, and general accounting (GAAP).
  • 2-3 years of experience in marketing, sales, and/or financial forecasting, analysis, and planning, including pricing and quotations.
  • 2-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a strong understanding of standard costing.
  • Proven success in executing Change Management in a dynamic environment.

Skills:

  • Ability to deliver accurate and reliable financial information on time, utilizing data from various sources, including Excel and ERP systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, collaboration, and communication skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and ERP reporting systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Familiarity with GAAP reporting and accounting standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in English.
