The primary objective of this role is to execute the daily responsibilities of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations and standards. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within the facility.

AUTHORITY AND RESPONSIBILITY:
As a Housekeeper, you are entrusted with the authority and accountability necessary to fulfill your designated tasks effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Risk of Exposure:
Category I: Involves tasks with potential exposure to blood or body fluids, necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.

Category II:
Involves tasks with no anticipated exposure to blood or body fluids, though unplanned exposure may occur.

Category III:
Tasks in this category do not involve exposure to blood or body fluids, and such exposure is not a condition of employment.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES:
- Adhere to established cleaning schedules.
- Report all incidents to a supervisor, regardless of severity.
- Collaborate with nursing staff to coordinate cleaning in resident areas.

PERSONNEL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend departmental meetings as required.
- Complete assigned tasks as per daily work schedules.
- Address any grievances with your supervisor.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT:

HOUSEKEEPING TASKS:
- Perform daily cleaning duties as assigned.
- Sanitize surfaces, including bathrooms and common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of floors, windows, and furnishings.
- Ensure proper disposal of waste and trash.

RESIDENT INTERACTIONS:
- Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
- Respect residents' personal space and property.
- Communicate effectively with residents and staff.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Engage in various tasks throughout the facility.
- Adapt to frequent interruptions and changing priorities.
- Maintain a professional demeanor in all interactions.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of an 8th-grade education.
- Must be at least 18 years of age or possess a valid work permit.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to move throughout the facility during working hours.
