About the Role:

The Relationship Banker is a key member of our Retail Banking team, responsible for building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients to help them achieve their financial goals. This role requires a deep understanding of our clients' needs and a ability to provide personalized financial solutions through our range of products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients through active market profiling, needs-based questioning, and regular financial wellness reviews.
  • Identify and provide solutions to clients' financial needs, including deposit, credit, and investment products.
  • Collaborate with other teams, such as Operations Leaders, Financial Advisors, and Mortgage Advisors, to provide comprehensive financial solutions.
  • Originate consumer lending and small business loans, as well as provide cash management solutions.
  • Recognize and refer potential small business clients to the proper team.
  • Cross-sell other bank services and refer clients to other departments as appropriate.
  • Maintain compliance with all bank regulations and stay up-to-date on regulatory changes.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2-4 years of banking and/or demonstrated sales experience.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in developing current and new customer relationships, achieving sales goals, and building referral sources in banking or retail environment with customer service and cash handling experience.
  • Less than 2 years of experience in a lending function with loan origination and processing functions, or equivalent training.
  • Foundational knowledge of sales and service techniques with consumers and small businesses, including tele-consulting, outside calling, prospecting, and networking.
  • Basic understanding of personal finances and concept of budgeting.
  • Must have access to reliable transportation to facilitate travel outside of the branches.
