We are Iron Mountains LLC, a leading developer of baby gear products. Our mission is to create innovative and safe products for children. We are seeking an experienced Compliance Director to join our team.

The Compliance Director will be responsible for overseeing the compliance team and ensuring that our products meet all regulatory requirements. This includes providing leadership and guidance to the team, as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide oversight and leadership to the compliance team.
  • Ensure that all products meet regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and implement compliance strategies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on compliance procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry standards.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • 8-10 years of experience in a compliance environment, preferably in the consumer or juvenile products industry.
  • 5 years of experience in a compliance environment, preferably in the consumer or juvenile products industry.
  • Extensive experience in the consumer goods industry preferred.
  • Experience in juvenile product standards (ASTM, CPSC, and NHTSA).
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Exceptional understanding of the product development process and common materials used in the manufacturing of juvenile products.
  • Superior command of quality systems, data analysis, documentation practices, and processes.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing: injection molding and plastics.
  • BS degree in engineering required.

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills including report writing & presentation skills, communicating with people from diverse backgrounds and varied abilities (e.g. technical and non-technical staff).

  • Highly skilled and capable of building and maintaining trusting partnerships and relationships across internal departments and external business partnerships.
  • Impeccable attention to detail and the ability to spot errors and inconsistencies.
  • Demonstrated problem solving and root cause analysis concepts and methodologies.
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment remaining poised under pressure or opposition.
  • Experience in planning, organizing, and prioritizing workloads and deadlines, as well as managing and following through on multiple tasks.
  • Passion for continuous improvement in all tasks and processes.
  • Ability to coach others to improve their performance as demonstrated by the regular provision of positive, encouraging, and information feedback.

Technology:

  • Strong proficiency with SolidWorks.
  • Strong proficiency in management /quality assurance software/tools.
  • MS Office; advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to quickly acquire proficiency with new skills and technologies.

Other:

  • Ability to work extended hours as business needs warrant; may include nights and weekends.
  • Domestic Travel as business needs warrant.
  • Occasional International travel as business need warrant.
