Position Overview
We are currently seeking a full-time Advanced Practice Nurse to join our Internal Medicine division. The selected candidate will engage in a collaborative care model, working alongside primary care physicians to manage a diverse patient population with various primary care requirements, including routine check-ups, chronic illness management, and urgent care services. This role is structured as full-time with occasional Saturday urgent care responsibilities, and there is no requirement for night or weekend on-call duties.
Work Schedule
The position entails 8 sessions per week, which can be arranged as 4 full days or a combination of 3 full days and 2 half days. Our care team model ensures that Nurse Practitioners do not need to manage a personal patient panel. Instead, they collaborate with approximately 2-3 primary care physicians to deliver comprehensive preventive care, chronic disease management, transitional care post-hospitalization, and urgent care for adult patients aged 18 and older.
Qualifications and Experience
- Graduation from an accredited nurse practitioner program is required.
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a nurse practitioner in adult medicine is preferred.
Licensure and Certifications
- Certification as a nurse practitioner by the ANCC or AANP is mandatory.
- Current RN and NP licensure in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification is required.
- Annual CPR certification is necessary.
Additional Requirements
- Engagement in relevant Continuing Education Units (CEUs) is expected.
- Maintenance of licensure requirements is essential.
