Surgical Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Swedish Ballard. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our surgical services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to surgical patients, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in the development and implementation of patient care plans, taking into account individual patient needs and preferences.
- Contribute to a culture of safety and quality, identifying and reporting any concerns or issues that may impact patient care.
- Engage in ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and technologies.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current Washington Registered Nurse License.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
- National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification.
- National Provider PALS - American Heart Association certification.
- At least 1 year of experience in surgery and PACU nursing.
