About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Surgical Nurse Specialist to join our team at Swedish Ballard. As a key member of our perioperative team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to a positive and supportive work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, identify, and prioritize patient needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring seamless transitions and effective communication.
  • Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and empowering them to make informed decisions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development, staying current with best practices and advancing your skills and knowledge in surgical nursing.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Washington Registered Nurse License.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association certification.
  • National Provider PALS - American Heart Association certification.
  • At least one year of experience in surgery and PACU nursing.
