Job Overview

Summary: The Project Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing construction initiatives to ensure that all activities align with the organization's safety protocols, quality benchmarks, established specifications, timelines, and financial plans. This role involves coordinating site operations to minimize delays and regularly engaging with the Operations Manager to assess project progress and strategize future actions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulates a cost-efficient strategy and timeline for project completion, ensuring a logical approach to resource utilization while adhering to the defined scope of work.
  • Engages with clients regarding schedules, meetings, and any arising issues, keeping them updated on project developments.
  • Manages the work of subcontractors involved in various project phases, ensuring their performance meets required standards and reviewing engineering plans for compliance with specifications and regulations.
  • Oversees the proper management of construction contracts and ensures that all necessary permits and licenses are secured.
  • Reports to the Operations Manager on project advancements and suggests necessary adjustments to plans as needed.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and maintains cleanliness on site.
  • Guides and evaluates technicians concerning production output, quality control, and adherence to safety practices.
  • Encourages optimal efficiency and productivity among production staff.
  • Conducts regular quality assessments.
  • Establishes daily work schedules and activities to support project objectives.
  • Facilitates safety and team meetings as required.
  • Recommends hiring and releasing of production technicians to maintain project timelines.
  • Ensures that materials, equipment, and facilities are well-maintained for effective production.
  • Organizes storage facilities and keeps an accurate inventory record.
  • Promotes positive employee relations and suggests disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Ensures efficient use of materials, enhances methods, and eliminates wasteful practices.
  • Prepares reports and keeps management informed about project status and any issues (or potential issues) regularly. Develops and submits recovery plans for approval.
  • Identifies potential scheduling or priority delays and initiates contingency plans.
