This is an exciting opportunity to lead the Infection Prevention Program at Trident Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in the nation. As the Director of Infection Prevention, you will be responsible for coordinating the hospital-wide Infection Prevention Program, ensuring high-quality patient-centered care through surveillance, analysis, and reporting of healthcare-associated infections, education of staff, and the development of health system policies and procedures to meet rigorous infection control standards.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain policies and procedures to support successful quality/patient safety outcomes and ongoing improvement in the delivery of healthcare to patients.
- Collaborate with the Infection Prevention Committee to make decisions relative to the surveillance, prevention, and control of infections and blood-borne pathogens.
- Ensure regulatory compliance programs are in place and executed in accordance with federal, state, and local agencies.
- Certification in Infection Prevention is required.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Health-related field is required; Master's Degree in a Health-related field is preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in a clinical setting is required; 5+ years of experience in Infection Prevention is required; 2+ years of leadership experience is required.
