Job Title: Perioperative Services Manager Exempt

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Perioperative Services Manager Exempt to join our team at Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our perioperative services department, providing leadership and guidance to our team members, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the perioperative services department, including surgical services, anesthesia, and perioperative nursing.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members, including perioperative nurses, surgical technologists, and other support staff.
  • Collaborate with other departments, including anesthesia, surgery, and nursing, to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Monitor and analyze departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed.
  • Develop and manage budgets, ensuring effective use of resources and achieving financial goals.
  • Recruit, hire, and train staff, ensuring a skilled and diverse team.
  • Develop and implement education and training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure effective communication and coordination of patient care.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or nursing.
  • Minimum five years of experience in a perioperative services management role, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in staff development and training.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to analyze data and make informed decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a related field, such as healthcare administration or business.
  • Experience in a leadership or management role, preferably in a hospital setting.
  • Certification in a related field, such as perioperative nursing or healthcare management.

Working Conditions:

This is an exempt position, requiring a high level of autonomy and decision-making authority. The successful candidate will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision, and to make decisions that align with hospital policies and procedures.
