Business & Legal Research Analyst

At DLA Piper, we're seeking a highly skilled Business & Legal Research Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you'll provide critical support to our lawyers, paralegals, and staff by conducting in-depth research on a wide range of topics, including legal, business, and corporate matters.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research and fact-checking in various topical areas, including legal, business, IP, public records, and legislative history.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of research tools, including Lexis+, Westlaw Edge, Bloomberg Law, and other platforms.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to identify research needs and provide timely, accurate, and quality work product.
  • Stay up-to-date with new research platforms, tools, and technologies, including GenAI tools.
  • Participate in the review and evaluation of new and existing electronic resources to improve research efficiency and service.
  • Assist with training attorneys and staff on the effective use of legal and business research resources.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in library science or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience conducting research in a legal setting, preferably in a law firm environment.
  • Strong research skills, including the ability to think critically and work efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
