Clinical Nursing Support

At Williamson Health, we are seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse to join our Medical Group team. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families.

**Responsibilities:**

* Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination
* Schedule tests and consultations, obtain clinical specimens, and perform clinical office procedures
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and vital signs
* Provide education and counseling to patients on health-related issues
* Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
* Coordinate referrals to other medical services and secure consultations with specialists
* Triages phone calls and addresses patient portal messages

**Requirements:**

* Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university
* Licensed by the State of Tennessee
* One year of experience in a medical office environment
* Competent in the use of Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications

**Work Environment:**

* Office environment

**Physical Effort:**

* Must be able to sit, stand, communicate, in English, both orally and in writing, and lift over 20 pounds

**Performance Standards:**

* Accurately records patient's medical history and vital signs
* Gives patients immunizations and injections as appropriate
* Counsels patients on health-related issues
* Orders and maintains clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals
* Coordinates referrals to other medical services
* Secures consultations and specialists
* Triages phone calls and addresses patient portal messages
* Obtains prior authorization for medications and diagnostic testing
* Assists physician with med/surg procedures
* Observes universal precautions
* Maintains quality assurance for office lab
* Observes proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
* Coordinates with pharmacies to ensure patients have adequate supplies of medicine
