Job Title: Clinical Nurse Specialist

Williamson Health is seeking a skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide clinical nursing support to our medical group by communicating with patients and businesses, scheduling tests and consultations, obtaining clinical specimens, assessing patients, performing clinical office procedures, and maintaining adequate clinical supplies.

Responsibilities:
  • Accurately record patient medical history and vital signs.
  • Administer gastroenterology-appropriate immunizations/injections.
  • Provide detailed patient instructions for gastrointestinal & endoscopic procedures.
  • Order and maintain clinical supplies and pharmaceuticals.
  • Coordinate patient set-ups with Infusion Centers.
  • Coordinate cardiac clearance for patients scheduled for procedures.
  • Triage phone calls and address patient portal messages.
  • Obtain approval for gastrointestinal medication and specialized labs.
  • Assist with pathology letters to patients who had gastrointestinal or endoscopic procedures performed.
  • Provide patient education related to their diagnosis and/or medication.
  • Secure consultations to other specialties.
  • Plan, assess, and schedule gastrointestinal and endoscopic procedures.
  • Additional tasks as needed to support practitioners and management.
Requirements:
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
  • At least one year of experience in a medical office environment.
  • Competent in the use of Glucometer, BP cuff, thermometer, computer, stethoscope, audio scope, business phone, and various oral and injectable medications.
Work Environment:

Office environment.

Physical Effort:

Must be able to sit, stand, communicate in English, both orally and in writing, and lift over 20 pounds.
