Marketing Director

Lindenwood University seeks a highly skilled and experienced marketing professional to join our team as Assistant Vice President, Marketing. This key leadership role will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic marketing plans to promote the University and enhance student interest.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to increase enrollment, academic quality, and national prominence of the University
- Collaborate with Enrollment Management to implement marketing plans and promote the University
- Supervise the Marketing team's efforts, including brand strategy and management, digital/print/audio advertising, web strategy, video production and strategy, licensing/trademark management, creative project management, and marketing data analytics
- Build a shared vision for University marketing through inspirational leadership and exceptional management skills
- Recognize industry and competitive trends, identify and target specific, new, or underserved markets
- Oversee production of print and online ads, collaborate with Communications on special events, promotions, and media outreach, and direct all aspects of publications, including graphic design, website communications, and digital marketing strategies
- Research, negotiate, and purchase strategic media buys to increase enrollment, champion academic quality, and enhance national prominence of the University
- Develop, manage, and communicate complex annual marketing budget, integrating budget decisions with strategic planning and institutional efficiency
- Encourage an innovative environment that promotes teamwork, collaboration, trust, and accountability
- Foster diverse ideas, autonomy of work, and excellence in attention to detail/accuracy
- Implement a data-driven, decision-making culture to guide University marketing efforts
- Support executive leadership with research, writing, editing, and dissemination of communiqués and marketing initiatives, including presentations, talking points, speeches, event briefings, and other communications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, public relations, business, management, marketing, or related field
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in marketing strategy and execution
- Master's degree preferred
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Experience with paid, earned, and owned marketing strategies
- Strong leadership skills with an ability to foster teamwork
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills
- Proven project management skills in marketing and strategic communications
- Ability to exercise good judgment and maintain strict confidentiality
- Ability to manage competing priorities and shift focus as determined by the changing needs of the organization
The Assistant Vice President, Marketing will work in a general office setting with occasional night and weekend work. The physical demands of the job include the ability to work effectively at a computer for extended periods daily and adequate mobility to provide campus tours for visiting community partners.
