Job Title: Engineering Inspector Supervisor

Arapahoe County's Public Works and Development Department is seeking an experienced Engineering Inspector Supervisor to join our team in the Engineering Services Division. This is a great opportunity for a skilled inspector who wants to make a positive contribution to the Arapahoe County community as part of our high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise the engineering inspections team through a collaborative, team-based approach.
  • Perform the full range of supervisory duties, including recruiting, hiring, training and development, coaching and mentoring, conflict resolution, assigning and reviewing work, employee recognition, and performance management.
  • Develop, monitor, and determine staff workload responsibilities and resource allocation.
  • Provide leadership and support in implementing change initiatives that are initiated at the Division, Department, or County level.
  • Ensure the flow of key communication to staff members from sources such as Quarterly Communication Meetings, Department Staff Meetings, etc.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
  • At least six (6) years of relevant work experience in the public works construction field is required.
  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Experience as a team lead or supervisor is preferred.
