Position Overview:
The Day Porter is directly accountable for the cleaning, sanitizing, and upkeep of all designated areas, adhering to established practices and procedures in line with company and client quality and safety standards. This role may involve regular interaction with clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly monitor and assess the assigned work area while executing tasks and upon completion to ensure compliance with site-specific procedures, scope of work, and Servicon standards.
  • Engage in training programs covering topics such as safety regulations, effective cleaning methods, and equipment maintenance.
  • Empty, clean, and damp-wipe all waste receptacles, removing waste paper and rubbish to designated disposal areas.
  • Vacuum rugs and carpeted spaces in offices, lobbies, and corridors.
  • Dust and wipe clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, paneling, windowsills, air-conditioning diffusers, wall grilles, and other horizontal surfaces.
  • Eliminate all fingerprints and smudges from vertical surfaces, including doors, doorframes, light switches, and partitions.
  • Damp-mop or clean any spills in offices, stairwells, and public areas as necessary.
  • Maintain the janitorial closet in a clean, organized manner.
  • Sweep or dust mop hard floor surfaces.
  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred experience in a similar role, though not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
  • Bi-lingual skills, particularly in Spanish, are preferred.
  • Effective problem-solving capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
