About the Role

Corteva is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Equipment Specialist to join our team at the Janesville Research Center. As a key contributor to our research operations, you will play a critical role in supporting all projects at the center.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain a variety of agricultural research equipment, including tractors, planters, sprayers, forklifts, and research combines.
  • Perform routine maintenance activities on equipment to ensure optimal performance and troubleshoot issues as needed.
  • Validate equipment functionality and provide support to local operators.
  • Scout fields for weeds or other issues and apply necessary treatments.
  • Communicate effectively with growers, coworkers, and management to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Manage and direct the work of temporary and seasonal employees as needed.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe and respectful work environment.
  • Support other research and safety projects as assigned.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture or a scientific field preferred.
  • Experience in agronomy, biology, plant breeding, or a related scientific field.
  • Ability to operate agricultural research equipment and perform routine maintenance activities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work well in a team environment.
  • Commitment to excellent safety and risk management practices.
