About the Role

Corteva Agriscience is seeking a highly skilled Field Equipment Specialist to join our team at the Janesville Research Center. As a key contributor to our research program, you will play a vital role in supporting various activities and leading field operations.

Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain agricultural research equipment, including tractors, planters, sprayers, forklifts, and research combines.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Validate equipment functionality and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical support to local operators and collaborate with research teams to achieve project goals.
  • Conduct field scouting to identify and address weed and pest issues, and apply necessary treatments.
  • Work flexible schedules, including weekends and overtime, during peak seasons.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agronomy, biology, plant breeding, or a related scientific field.
  • Experience operating agricultural research equipment and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in varying ergonomic environments.
