Position Title: Litigation / Regulatory Paralegal
Location: Washington, DC (Hybrid-Telework Schedule)
Our organization is in search of a motivated and proficient Litigation / Regulatory Paralegal to provide essential support to our legal professionals across multiple office locations. This role is situated in our Washington, DC office and features a hybrid-telework arrangement, allowing for flexibility in work schedules.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform comprehensive research on legal statutes, regulations, and case law to assist attorneys in their legal matters.
- Help in the organization and management of legal documentation, which includes filing, indexing, and retrieving case files efficiently.
- Draft legal documents such as pleadings, motions, briefs, and contracts under the supervision of attorneys.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, providing updates on case developments and aiding in the collection of necessary information.
- Support trial preparation efforts, including the organization of exhibits, coordination of witness interviews, and management of trial logistics.
- Assist in ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations, and contribute to the formulation of strategies for addressing regulatory challenges. Carry out administrative duties, including calendar management, scheduling, and other tasks to enhance attorneys' productivity.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or equivalent paralegal certification.
- Prior experience as a litigation or regulatory paralegal is preferred.
- Strong research capabilities and familiarity with legal databases and research tools.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and legal software applications.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
- Capacity to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of litigation and regulatory processes is advantageous.
