Job Summary

Amazon's Legal Department is seeking a highly skilled and experienced litigator to manage its worldwide portfolio of litigation and regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in complex domestic and international business litigation, including trial experience and counseling parties and witnesses in pre-dispute and dispute resolution contexts.

Responsibilities

  • Handle, manage, and supervise a wide range of domestic and international disputes and regulatory engagements.
  • Directly interact with government officials, including regulators and law enforcement.
  • Direct overall case and matter strategy, including selecting and managing outside counsel.
  • Assess risk and coordinate with senior leadership on risk management.
  • Manage responses to discovery requests.

About the Role

This role will primarily handle disputes and potential disputes related to Amazon's global logistics and transportation business, which fulfills orders and delivers packages to customers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the legal and regulatory environment in which Amazon operates and be able to provide strategic advice to senior executives.

Requirements

  • J.D. degree (or equivalent) and membership in good standing in at least one state bar.
  • At least five years of litigation and regulatory experience.
  • Hands-on experience in complex domestic and/or international business litigation, including trial experience and counseling parties and witnesses in pre-dispute and dispute resolution contexts.
