Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Industrial Construction Senior Estimator to join our team. This is a salaried, exempt role based in our corporate office, where you will report directly to the Preconstruction Manager. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop precise estimates utilizing our Excel-based estimating software.
- Conduct thorough quantity take-offs to ensure accuracy.
- Present detailed estimates to the management committee for review.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals.
- Participate in bid walks as necessary.
- Analyze job specifications to identify the most effective methods.
- Ensure seamless project transitions from estimating to field execution.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in estimating construction projects.
- A background in industrial construction is highly preferred.
- Proficient in interpreting orthographic, isometric, and P&ID drawings.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel, piping, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with field installations and industry best practices.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with estimating software is advantageous.
- Knowledge of P6 scheduling software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for professional interactions with clients and management.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision, while also being a collaborative team player.
- Committed to quality, diligent, highly skilled, and of strong character.
- A valid driver's license is required upon hire and as a condition of continued employment.
- Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and Company safety regulations.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Strong written, verbal, and listening communication skills.
- Capable of problem-solving and analytical thinking.
- Ability to efficiently plan, schedule, and organize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated adaptability to change.
- Self-motivated with a willingness to engage in training programs.
