Job Description:

The Cardiovascular Institute of the South is seeking a skilled and dedicated Ambulatory Surgery Center Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. This role requires a high level of expertise in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring seamless procedural processes, and promoting a safe and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective interventions.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient information, including medical histories, test results, and treatment plans.
  • Administer medications and perform various medical procedures as prescribed by physicians.
  • Monitor patients' progress and report any concerns or changes to the attending physician.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Louisiana.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
Work Environment:

This position requires working in a fast-paced ambulatory surgery center setting, handling multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to maintain composure under pressure.
