Position: Project Engineer

Location: Lafayette, IN

Contract Duration: 12+ months

Compensation: $45-$55/hr.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assignments will be allocated based on individual expertise, ensuring that major projects are divided according to specific backgrounds. Effective coordination among various disciplines is crucial for the successful execution of tasks. This role will focus on the systems integration of manufacturing equipment and the necessary support services for equipment and building operations, particularly emphasizing structural elements such as crane systems and lifting devices.
  • Developing technical specifications and functional requirements for projects related to facilities. Evaluating the acceptability of new equipment based on industrial specifications and recommending modifications or revisions as needed.
  • Complying with established standards, policies, and practices concerning quality, cost efficiency, safety, hazardous materials, and ergonomics while performing assigned duties.

Required Skills:

  • Proficiency in Creo 3D CAD modeling and drawing software or equivalent applications (e.g., Inventor/Solidworks).
  • Effective communication skills and a foundational understanding of functions performed by skilled trades personnel.
  • Strong interpersonal, teamwork, and collaboration abilities.
  • Capability to cultivate robust relationships with various stakeholders.

Education & Experience:

A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Engineering Technology is required.
