Job Description

Tandym Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fund Accountant to join their Private Funds team. As a Fund Accountant, you will play a critical role in creating and reviewing monthly financial and management reports for the funds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Create and maintain accurate and timely financial reports for the funds, including monthly financial statements and management reports.
  • Reconciliation and Analysis: Reconcile administrator data to internal portfolio management systems and analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Liaise with outside administrators, product accountants, and other stakeholders to ensure proper presentation of financial data and to resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  • Expense Management: Maintain expense accrual budgets, analyze budget-to-actuals, and liaise with relevant departments on expense projections and allocations.
  • GAAP Compliance: Assist in the preparation of GAAP financial statements and coordinate with the audit team to ensure compliance with accounting standards.
  • Tax Planning: Coordinate with the tax function to prepare year-end tax return information and intra-year tax projections and planning based on accounting data.
  • Investor Reporting: Prepare and review month-end investor capital account allocations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in Public Accounting and/or Fund Accounting.
  • Proficiency with computer platforms and applications, including financial reporting software.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized and able to multitask.
