Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Lead to join our Prepared Foods team at Whole Foods Market. Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Excellence: Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Team Leadership: Work with the Team Leader to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets, and assist in analyzing sales reports and labor data.
  • Product Knowledge: Demonstrate advanced product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Vendor Relationships: Maintain good vendor relationships, develop new vendor connections, and ensure all necessary paperwork is completed.
  • Team Development: Select, train, develop, mentor, motivate, and counsel Team Members to sustain a high-performance team and minimize turnover.
  • Customer Service: Maintain awareness of customer flows and needs, direct Team Members as necessary to satisfy and delight customers, and respond promptly to customer inquiries.
Requirements
  • Experience: 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.
  • Skills: High energy, enthusiasm, and a growth mindset towards greater responsibility and ownership. Excellent interpersonal, motivational, team building, and customer relationship skills. Proficient mathematical skills for assessing financial performance, monitoring profitability, and managing inventory.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50 pounds, stand/walk for 6-8 hours in an 8-hour workday, and work in a fast-paced environment.
