Plant Operations Manager

Job Summary:

We're seeking a results-driven Plant Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our batch production facility. In this key role, you'll lead a cross-functional team to ensure smooth operations, high-quality products, and a safe work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Foster a positive and safety-conscious work environment.
  • Lead and manage a team including production supervisor, material handler, maintenance, and production personnel.
  • Oversee essential production processes of blending, staging, bottling, and shipping.
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Train and mentor plant personnel on equipment, processes, and safety protocols.
  • Oversee building maintenance and coordinate repairs with contractors.
  • Ensure continuous operation of all plant equipment.
  • Collaborate with Quality Control team to ensure quality control measures in place to prevent product defects.
  • Provide administrative support across various departments.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Bachelor's degree in business management or engineering or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal day-to-day supervision.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement operational procedures.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Experience in training and development.
  • Understanding of inventory control principles (courses a plus).
  • Experience with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) (preferred).
  • Familiarity with GP/Microsoft Dynamics (preferred).
  • Expertise in batch production processes (preferred).
  • A commitment to safety and quality.
