Kalamazoo Valley Community College is seeking a seasoned professional to serve as the Director of Financial Aid. This key leadership role will oversee the operational, financial, and personnel activities of the Financial Aid Department, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative leadership and supervision to departmental employees
  • Develop and implement departmental operating policies and procedures
  • Approve or delegate authority to approve the disbursement or authorization of financial aid to students
  • Advise institutional administrators on matters regarding student financial aid
  • Supervise the preparation of statistical operating and planning records and/or reports
  • Research and remain current on changing state and federal regulations pertaining to student financial aid
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Student Services or a related field
  • Experience equivalent to 4 years of student personnel work, including 2 years supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of state and federal financial aid laws, rules, and regulations
  • Ability to plan, direct, and evaluate the work of subordinates
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
