POSITION SUMMARY
The Software Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and analysis of software applications. This role encompasses researching, designing, documenting, and modifying software specifications throughout the entire production lifecycle. The engineer will also be tasked with diagnosing and rectifying software issues promptly and accurately, providing necessary updates as required.


Core Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and test new software applications.
  • Identify and implement modifications in existing software solutions.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance current software.
  • Create user manuals and operational guidelines.
  • Analyze data and generate precise reports.

Key Duties

  • Collaborate with fellow developers, analysts, and designers to conceptualize and create new software applications.
  • Plan and oversee various phases of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) for multiple projects.
  • Assist in the documentation and preparation of software requirements and specifications.
  • Recommend and execute software improvements and upgrades.
  • Consistently write, translate, and code software applications according to established specifications.
  • Conduct performance tests on new and existing software to identify errors and areas for enhancement.
  • Perform critical analysis of test results and propose solutions to identified issues.
  • Prepare and present reports on the status of the programming process to management and team members.
  • Support the development and upkeep of user manuals and guidelines.
  • Install software products for end users as necessary.
  • Write scripts to enhance the functionality and appearance of web applications.
  • Work closely with network administrators, systems analysts, and software engineers to resolve software-related issues.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Preferred: College diploma or university degree in computer science or software engineering; equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in software development.
  • Proficient technical knowledge of programming technologies, including Linux OS, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL.
  • Experience with Azure, C#, and Angular is highly desirable.
  • Experience in mentoring or training junior developers is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience in software troubleshooting is advantageous.
  • Understanding of data privacy practices and regulations.
  • Adaptable and eager to learn new technologies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities.
