Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nonprofit Accountant to support the financial operations of the McGregor Fund, a historic grantmaking organization dedicated to advancing racial equity and justice.

The successful candidate will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and finance-related functions, including investment accounting, account reconciliation, accounts payable, cash flow management, and Board reporting.

This is a hybrid role that offers flexibility with remote work, with biweekly in-person staff meetings and quarterly board and committee meetings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and audit preparation.
  • Support grant management, including scheduling and coordinating grant payments.
  • Process general and administrative payments and grants using an electronic platform.
  • Provide general office support as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum two years of experience in accounting, tax, or finance.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and accounting software.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and remotely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Bill.com.
  • Background in public accounting or similar roles.
