Key Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate and instruct staff on the principles and application of Positive Behavior Support methodologies.
  • Collaborate as part of Interdisciplinary Teams (IDTs) to provide insights on behavioral challenges.
  • Oversee the assessment, design, training, monitoring, and reporting of Behavior Plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive behavioral assessments, including functional analyses, and interpret the findings.
  • Deliver direct behavioral interventions through skills training, crisis management, and both group and individual treatment in various settings.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to address behavioral concerns.
  • Monitor and provide training to minimize the use of restraints.
  • Track and analyze challenging behaviors.
  • Engage in relevant committees such as the Behavior Intervention Committee and Human Rights Committee as assigned.
  • Provide personalized services to meet the unique treatment needs of specialty clinic patients, adhering to regulatory requirements.
  • Familiarize and comply with all organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Language Skills: Ability to read and understand simple instructions and correspondence; capable of writing clear communications; effective in presenting information in small group settings.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed instructions; capable of addressing problems with a few concrete variables; able to make independent decisions with sound judgment.
  • Physical Demands: The physical requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of this position may include participation in crisis management procedures.
  • Work Environment: The characteristics of the work environment may vary, and reasonable accommodations will be made for employees with disabilities.
  • Education: A Doctoral or Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or a related field is required, along with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
  • Computer Skills/Data Entry: Proficiency in accurately recording and entering data in accordance with organizational standards.
