Job Description

As a Senior Software Development Manager at Vontier Corporation, you will be responsible for technical and people management. Your key role is to deliver solutions that meet the business needs while ensuring the quality of the product.

  • Main Responsibilities:
    • Lead your team in developing modern applications, platforms, and services by providing technical expertise throughout the software development lifecycle.
    • Manage the software development lifecycle from planning and design to coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
    • Communicate a plan for budget, resources, and tools required to support the business and evolve the product, then execute the plan.
    • Establish learning plans that grow the team professionally and technically.
    • Motivate the team to share ideas and learnings to promote innovation and excitement within the team.
    • Take an active role in defining metrics that measure our ability to deliver on business and service level objectives and use them to improve the process and product.
    • Review test plans and results, providing guidance on developing test plans to assist the business with user acceptance criteria.
    • Develop relationships with business partners and regularly update them on automation progress.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define solution, technical requirements, and timelines.
    • Ensure delivery of high-quality, scalable, and maintainable code following best practices.
    • Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to the development team.
    • Identify and address technical debt to ensure long-term sustainability of the codebase.
    • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating new solutions as appropriate.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in software development methodologies, agile principles, and version control systems.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and managing projects from start to finish.
