About the Role:

The Anatomic Pathology Administrative Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the daily operations of the Anatomic Pathology department. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent administrative skills to ensure the smooth functioning of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in administrative tasks, including scheduling, data entry, and filing.
* Contribute to the preparation of medical reports for Surgical Pathology and Hematopathology offices.
* Process consultation materials, including accessioning, evaluating medical information, and sending back materials.
* Perform digital scanning of glass slides and data entry of demographic information.
* Interact with fellow staff members and faculty to promote good working relationships.

Requirements:

* High school diploma or equivalent.
* Typing speed of 40 WPM.
* Proficiency in MS Office Suite products, AP module of Millennium, and Leica Aperio whole slide imager and eSlide Manager software.
* Knowledge of medical terminology and Anatomic Pathology workflow.

Work Environment:

The Anatomic Pathology Administrative Specialist will work in a biohazard laboratory environment, requiring the use of personal protective equipment in accordance with CDC and OSHA regulations and company policies. The position involves sedentary work, with occasional movement between work sites and inside the office.
