About the Role

The Material Control Specialist is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials within ARUP Laboratories. This involves analyzing inventory usage, monitoring stock levels, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with technical operations to determine material and inventory requirements
  • Use material forecasting systems to maximize product availability and minimize backorders
  • Collaborate with the warehouse to determine inventory requirements
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and validate data integrity
  • Provide professional guidance to ensure compliance with inventory-related cost and process standards

Requirements

  • Stooping, reaching, and mobility are required for this role
  • Frequent communication with others is necessary
  • PPE is required in a biohazard laboratory environment
  • ARUP Policies and Procedures must be followed
