Precision Spindle Assembler

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Precision Spindle Assembler to join our team at SunSource. As a key member of our machine tool assembly team, you will be responsible for performing precision assembly work on grease packed and air-oil lubricated spindles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform precision assembly work on spindles, including tear down, inspection, and preparation
  • Balance shafts, prepare components for assembly, and install motors and stators
  • Operate surface grinders and set up and run-off for products

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years' experience in machine tool assembly, tool & die, or mold industries
  • Ability to read blueprints, precision measure devices, and knowledge of bearing assemblies
  • Excellent mechanical skills and electrical skills considered a plus
  • Knowledge of servo spindle drives considered a plus
  • Effective communication skills (oral/written)
