Full job description

This is a full-time position that requires the candidate to be dedicated to providing the highest level of workmanship for our customers. The Spindle Technician is a critical member of our sale and service department who is responsible for diagnosing and repairing Ultra Precision CNC Spindles. We service domestic and international CNC Machine OEM’s and their customers. The Spindle Technician ensures our customers expectations are exceeded.


Duties:

·      Perform diagnostic tests to evaluate the health condition of rotating machinery and equipment

·      Troubleshoot bearings, gears, motors and auxiliary equipment, using appropriate tools and specialized equipment

·      Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential problems and ensure spindle longevity

·      Repair and / or replace faulty components, such as bearings, seals, tool retention devices, electric motors, gears and transmissions, lubrication, switches and electrical systems

·      Follow established procedures and guidelines for spindle repairs and maintenance

·      Keep accurate records of all repairs and services performed


Requirements:

·      Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude

·      Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment

·      Familiarity with electronics, pneumatics and hydraulics

·      Capable of reading and understanding blue prints, electrical drawings manuals  

·      Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail

·      Customer service-oriented with good communication skills

·      Ability to work independently and as part of an engineering team

·      Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
