Job Title: Occupational Health Physician

Mobile Med Work Health Solutions is seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Physician to join our team. As an Occupational Health Physician, you will play a critical role in promoting the health and well-being of our clients and their employees.

Job Summary:

The Occupational Health Physician will be responsible for conducting health assessments, making differential diagnoses, and prescribing pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement comprehensive patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of care and service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct physical examinations and preventive health measures within prescribed guidelines, including DOT exams as required.
  • Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients' clinical problems and healthcare needs.
  • Record physical findings, formulate plans and prognoses, and provide written patient instructions.
  • Collaborate with our team to prepare comprehensive patient care plans for work-related injuries and illnesses.
  • Prescribe or recommend medications or other forms of treatment, such as physical therapy or acupuncture.
  • Refer patients to specialized healthcare resources for treatment.
  • Perform clinical procedures as appropriate in a clinic setting, including laceration repair, joint injections, and wound care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records using our designated electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Educate and coach clinical staff on best practices and assist center managers in facilitating program management.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine degree required.
  • Valid NPI.
  • Licensed as an MD in the state of practice.
  • Current Certification in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for medical providers.
  • Current DEA license to write prescriptions under the authority of the Medical Leader, if allowed within the state of practice.
  • Current DOT medical examiner certification in specified locations, as directed by the VP of Medical Operations or CCO.
  • Board Certified in the field of practice, with Occupational or Emergency Medicine preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year (three years preferred) of clinical experience as an MD in an ambulatory care, occupational health, family practice, urgent care, or emergency department setting.
  • Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software, and Word Processing software.
  • Training skills a plus.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and workflow management skills.
  • Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records.
Other Qualifications:

Requirements as set forth in the specific contract for the site may include working flexible hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends. Travel for assignments and/or training may occasionally be required.
