Work Environment:
This position necessitates full-time on-site presence at one of our Network Distribution Centers. It is not a remote or work-from-home role. At Amazon, we thrive in a fast-paced and constantly evolving work setting, and our safety approach reflects this dynamic.

Understanding Fulfillment:
In the context of Amazon, fulfillment refers to the comprehensive process of completing and delivering customer orders. This encompasses various stages, including picking, packing, shipping, and delivering orders, all aimed at meeting or exceeding customer expectations.

Fulfillment Workflow:
To better understand our operations, we can break down the workflow into three primary segments:
1. First Mile: This stage involves storing products and preparing them for picking when an order is placed.
2. Middle Mile: Here, orders are sorted and prepared for distribution to specific areas, ensuring efficient logistics and transportation.
3. Last Mile: This final stage focuses on delivering products directly to customers' doorsteps, ensuring a seamless delivery experience.

Job Requirements:
As a WHSS, you will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and executing all facets of Amazon's Global Safety Program.
- Identifying and reporting compliance issues, safety risks, and improvement opportunities through regular audits.
- Facilitating incident investigation processes.
- Maintaining necessary documentation to comply with Amazon and OSHA regulations.
- Conducting risk assessments related to job functions.
- Innovating process improvements and managing actions to completion.
- Training team members on safety tasks and protocols.

Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, candidates should possess a bachelor's or master's degree with all requirements completed prior to the start date. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Health Science, Safety Engineering, Health & Safety, Safety Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Interest or prior experience in safety-related roles.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, particularly regarding health and safety matters.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical skills with a proven ability to solve problems.
