POSITION OVERVIEW:

ROLE SUMMARY:

The Family Support Specialist is tasked with assisting eligible families through evidence-based programs. This role involves conducting home visits, facilitating family engagement workshops, providing parent education, and performing assessments to identify family needs. The Specialist will conduct regular home visits, coordinate external resources, deliver essential support, and lead community activities. This position aims to support service planning, education, and parenting assistance for expectant families or those with children under five years of age.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conduct weekly home visits utilizing specific curricula (Promoting First Relationships).
  • Continuously assess family stability and overall quality of life.
  • Maintain accurate documentation within Salesforce to track services rendered.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Exhibit Exceptional customer service in all interactions, prioritizing the needs of children, families, Veterans, or clients to fulfill our mission of Empowering individuals to enhance their lives and communities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required.

EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years of direct service experience in a health and human services environment.

ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance as determined by the employer.

LICENSES: Valid Driver's License with a clean record.

VEHICLE: Daily access to a vehicle is required.

OTHER: Willingness to travel to various locations as needed. Bilingual in English and Spanish is essential.
