Associate General Counsel

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to serve as an Associate General Counsel at the Department of Defense. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide expert advice and guidance to senior agency leadership on complex legal issues.
Key Responsibilities- Provide legal counsel to senior agency leadership on a wide range of issues, including national security law, civilian personnel law, and ethics.
- Develop and implement legal strategies to support agency initiatives and programs.
- Collaborate with other legal professionals to ensure effective and efficient delivery of legal services.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance and provide expert advice.
- First professional law degree (LL.B. or J.D.) and active membership in the bar of the highest court of a State, U.S. commonwealth, U.S. territory, or the District of Columbia.
- At least 3 years of professional legal experience, with a strong background in federal government legal practice.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
